Criticality Safety Assessor Job Summary

AWE Plc is seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Physics Expert to join our team as a Criticality Safety Assessor. This role involves providing criticality safety assessments for nuclear facilities, applying nuclear physics knowledge and using Monte Carlo computer codes. The successful candidate will have a strong technical understanding of nuclear physics and experience in writing safety assessments.

The ideal candidate will have an Honours Degree in science, mathematics, engineering or a closely related discipline, with examples of communicating technical problems clearly and concisely to stakeholders. Desirable skills include knowledge of particle transport codes, Monte Carlo methods, and the requirements placed upon fissile operations within a highly regulated industry on a nuclear licensed site.

This role offers a competitive salary of £38,000 - £46,000, plus role-related allowance(s), depending on suitability, qualifications, and level of experience.
