Senior Quantity Surveyor Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial team at MWH Treatment. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a key role in the management of our projects and contribute to the success of our business.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of projects, including quantity surveying duties, cost analysis, and contract management. You will work closely with our design, construction, and supply chain teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project costs and ensure that they are accurately reported and controlled.
  • Liaise with clients to ensure that their business requirements are met and that they are satisfied with the project's progress.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Manager to develop and implement commercial strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
  • Prepare and issue subcontract documentation, manage subcontractor performance, and ensure that contractual notices and correspondence are identified and raised as necessary.
  • Assist in the management and development of junior commercial staff and ensure that they receive the necessary training and support to excel in their roles.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry changes and innovations by participating in external networking, conferences, and associations.
  • Maintain a positive and solution-oriented approach to work, providing open and honest feedback to colleagues and clients.
  • Undertake other duties, training, and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role.
  • Promote a positive image of the department and MWH Treatment in all internal and external contact, maintaining mutually constructive, positive, and beneficial relationships.
  • Take all reasonable steps to ensure appropriate confidentiality.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in quantity surveying and commercial management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
