Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Bachy Soletanche. As a Quantity Surveyor - Commercial Expert, you will play a key role in supporting our commercial team in delivering commercial duties and managing our supply chain. You will be responsible for minimizing costs and enhancing value for money while maintaining the required standards and quality for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial Management: Support the commercial team in delivering commercial duties and managing the supply chain.
- Cost Engineering: Measure, record, and value work unsupervised in accordance with appropriate rules and procedures.
- Estimating: Measure and interpret specifications and drawings, build up estimates from first principles, and translate measurement from drawings and specifications.
- Planning: Review weekly, monthly, and section programs of works, plan commercial activities to meet requirements, and have an understanding of delay and disruption programs.
- Procurement: Collect information required to specify procurement requirements, record and document information, and understand the steps and documentation required.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience.
- Skills: Communication, teamwork, achievement focus, previous commercial work experience, and industry knowledge.
