Support Worker Job Description

FitzRoy is recruiting Support Workers for our Supported Living Plus Service in New Milton, Hampshire. As we enter an exciting period of growth and expansion, this is an ideal time to join our team

Fernhill Court is a large service where we support up to eighteen young people with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs, some of whom display behaviors that may challenge.

Every individual has their own self-contained flat, with communal areas for socializing and a large garden for summer activities. You will support people with all aspects of daily life, from personal care to managing finances, shopping, days out, and walks in the beautiful New Forest.

The role can be challenging at times, so you must be kind, caring, patient, and resilient with a passion to make a difference. A full UK driving license is preferred, as you will be supporting residents on trips out.

About the Role:

You will work a set pattern of morning and afternoon shifts, with shifts of 7.5 hours and a full-time contract of 37.5 hours (5 shifts a week). The earliest start is from 7am and the latest finish is until 10pm. Waking Nights are 8pm – 8am.

Weekend working is essential, which will be on a rotating basis, and when you work a weekend, you will have the time off in the week.
