TPF Recruitment, a leading accountancy practice recruitment agency, is supporting a top-tier firm of chartered accountants in Faversham, Kent, in their search for a Personal Tax Manager to join their highly successful tax team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a renowned industry leader where you will have autonomy, an experienced team, and excellent progression prospects. Our client focuses on owner-managed businesses and high-net-worth individuals across the Southeast.
As a Personal Tax Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Managing a portfolio of personal clients with complex tax affairs, focusing on UK individuals, high-net-worth individuals, and some trusts.
- Tax planning projects, including non-domicile issues, onshore and offshore trusts, and capital gains and inheritance tax issues.
- Reviewing and completing more complex tax returns.
- Overseeing the compliance function and ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Managing HMRC enquiries and dealing with HMRC correspondence of both compliance and advisory nature.
- Managing junior members of staff, including helping them with technical and personal development.
- Supporting the Director's with the growth and development of the tax department.
Requirements
- Ideal qualifications include CTA and/or ATT/ACA/ACCA. You will have developed a personal tax career within an accountancy practice or specialist tax firm.
- Your experience will have been developed in a mix of top-tier, top-ten, or larger regional independent firm backgrounds, or specialist tax firms, with a strong focus on personal tax and compliance.
