Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Principal Planning Officer to join our Development Management Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the determination and delivery of high-quality development, providing a nationally recognised 'platinum service', exceeding targets.

This is an excellent opportunity to broaden your experience and knowledge in a positive, dedicated, supportive, and friendly service, working in interesting and valued rural and urban environments. As a Principal Planning Officer, you will enjoy a balanced work-life with a minimum of two days in the office and the flexibility to work from home for the rest of the week. You will also have access to a range of benefits, including 26 days annual leave (pro rata) (increasing to 29 days after 5 years continuous Local Government service), plus an additional day in December. Membership of the Local Government (CARE – Career Average (Revalued Earnings) Pension Scheme), options of car or cycle loans through salary sacrifice, as well as invaluable training opportunities for CPD and personal development.
