Job Title: Substance Misuse Worker

Novax Recruitment is seeking a skilled Substance Misuse Worker to join our team in Camden. As a Substance Misuse Worker, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality substance misuse services to young people aged up to 25 within the Borough of Camden.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver specialist tier 2 substance misuse interventions to young people, focusing on supporting those with learning needs.
  • Provide training for professionals in the community on substance misuse.
  • Use creative and innovative approaches to engage young people and their parent/carers, incorporating methods such as motivational interviewing, harm minimisation, solution-focused, and relapse prevention work.
  • Maintain clear and precise case management records on IT client information systems, adhering to local and national standards.
  • Work closely with partnership agencies to ensure positive outcomes for young people.
Requirements:
  • Experience in substance misuse work, particularly with young people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of local and national substance misuse strategies and policies.
