Job Title: Marine Commissioning Engineer

SLR Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Marine Commissioning Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for the efficient, safe, and timely build of Maritime & Land plants and compressors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out build programmes of Maritime & Land plants and compressors.
  • Respond to call outs as directed by the Production Manager.
  • Provide repairs, servicing, installation, and commissioning of equipment both locally and worldwide.
  • Quality inspect and test outgoing equipment.
  • Advise on procedure changes.
  • Produce production reports of completed works and call outs.
  • Assist with quality inspection of incoming parts from goods inwards for builds.
  • Produce project technical documentation as required.
  • Customer-facing promotion of Lightfoot Defence capabilities.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in refrigeration, including roles such as a field service engineer for chilled water systems and refrigeration systems.
  • Basic electrical control experience and fault finding.
  • Understanding of the technical aspects of refrigeration, including super heating and sub cooling.
  • Formal engineering apprenticeship or equivalent engineering experience.
  • CAT 1 FGas certification.
Desirable Skills:
  • Good interpersonal communication and organisational skills.
  • Proven track record of time management and working to strict deadlines.
  • At least 10 years of engineering experience.
