Digital PR Account Manager Job Description

The Digital PR Account Manager will be responsible for leading account strategies and budgets, managing the day-to-day on accounts and generating media coverage through Digital PR campaigns, newsjacking and press office tactics.

This role requires a track record of ideating out of the box campaign ideas that have landed notable placements and links across a range of sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead account strategies and budgets to ensure successful media coverage.
  • Manage day-to-day account activities and generate media coverage through Digital PR campaigns.
  • Identify newsjacking opportunities and develop effective press office tactics.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with journalists across various sectors.
  • Monitor and reply to media requests, and build targeted, bespoke media lists.
  • Collaborate with other delivery channels, including SEO, Content, Data, and Creative.
  • Support the Digital PR Lead in developing effective new processes and ways of working for the team.
Requirements
  • Three + years of experience in PR, either in-house or agency.
  • Strong understanding of Digital PR tactics and the modern media landscape.
  • Experience leading traditional PR tactics/strategies and examples of this.
  • Understanding of SEO principles and ability to discuss with clients.
  • Curiosity and interest in current affairs, breaking news, and trend cycles.
  • Creative flair and ability to think outside the box.
  • Impeccable grammar and attention to detail in press releases, pitch emails, and client communications.
  • Clear and confident communication skills, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to lead client calls and updates, as well as internal meetings.
  • Track record of securing notable press placements and pivoting account strategies.
  • Confidence in spotting good news angles or stories, pitching them to clients, and seeing them through from start to finish.
  • Experience in end-to-end management of creative campaigns, including smaller and bigger budgets.
