We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Support Specialist to join our IT support team. The ideal candidate will have excellent troubleshooting skills and great attention to detail.

You will be responsible for providing advanced technical support to both our customer base and internal staff, ensuring the smooth operation of all IT infrastructure.

This role requires in-depth knowledge of IT systems, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responding to client Support Requests through our ITSM Tools or by Telephone
  • Providing expert-level support to resolve complex IT issues escalated from 1st and 2nd line support teams
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-connectivity related problems
  • Installing, and upgrading Operating Systems
  • Administering and maintaining servers, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of server operating systems
  • Managing and optimizing virtualization environments (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.)
  • Implementing and managing Active Directory, Group Policies, and other directory services
  • Configuring and maintaining routers, switches, firewalls, and other network infrastructure components
  • Monitoring network performance and ensuring high availability and reliability
  • Implementing and managing security protocols and measures to safeguard the network

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Demonstrable experience of working as a Systems Administrator, Technical Support Specialist, or a related role
  • Proven expertise in Windows server environments (Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, File Services, IIS etc.)
  • Patch Management Systems (Spacewalk/Satellite)
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, security principles, and best practices

Desirable:

  • HND or Degree level qualification in Computer Networking or related field
  • Certifications such as MCSE, CCNA, or equivalent
