Transformative Data Governance Role

BNY Mellon is seeking a highly skilled Lead Analyst, Data Governance to join our RCOE Data team. This role will play a leading part in the RCoE's Reconciliation Transformation strategy across the whole organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for partnering closely with various stakeholders to influence decisions with data and provide leaders with the tools to make key business decisions in a timely manner. They will work as part of a team to support line of business areas with more advanced statistical and quantitative analysis, using technology tools to conduct analysis and apply techniques such as SQL querying and macro development to extract data for populating models.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the relevant processes and products in assigned areas and apply this knowledge to decide the most appropriate analysis, methodologies, and approaches to support the assessment of performance and risk profile of break population. They will also prepare ad-hoc reports at the request of managers and/or other leaders, translate complex technical concepts and analyses to non-technical audiences, and provide analytical support and prepare drafts of standard and ad hoc reports for various areas and stakeholders.

Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced degree in quantitative analysis preferred.
  2. 3 years of total work experience preferred.
  3. Previous work experience in Data Analytics environment is preferred.
  4. Direct experience with SQL.
  5. Familiarity with Tableau or other data visualization tools.
  6. Advanced Excel skills (macros, VBA).
  7. Experience of using Power BI.
  8. Team player, proven track record in building effective relationships across global locations.
  9. Strong analytical skills, including ability to extract and analyze data.
  10. Experience with Machine Learning or Robotics tools (preferred).
