Job Title:

Control and Power Systems Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Control and Power Systems Specialist to join our team in the Energy Networks department. The successful candidate will design technical protection and control solutions for EHV substation projects, including AIS and GIS substations at voltages ranging from 11kV to 400kV.

Responsibilities:
  • Review and design P&C design packages in projects with National Grid
  • Create all associated Engineering Design calculations and documentation
  • Visit sites to assess project requirements
  • Attend site meetings and provide ongoing design drawing changes/support as required during project build
  • Review designs produced by suppliers and clients to ensure designs are technically compliant and in line with current legislation and policies
Requirements:
  • HNC Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Proven experience in the design of protection and control schemes
  • Knowledge of Electrical Networks and Engineering standards
  • Experience of interpreting technical documentation relating to design
