We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Accountant to support the Commercial Director in maintaining the day-to-day operations of the finance function and contribute to the organisation's overall success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage the existing team member
  • Maintain and control all ledgers, ensuring monthly reviews
  • Set, review, and manage department targets and deadlines
  • Assist with year-end requirements
  • Directly manage property agents and tenants, handling invoicing, cash posting, and arrears management
  • Support cash-flow, budgeting, insurances, and quarterly reporting cycles
  • Provide cover for purchase, subcontractor ledger payments, and other accounting functions
  • Contribute to the review of processes, procedures, and Business Central functionality

Reporting to the Commercial Director, the ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial administration and possess strong time and people management skills. Excellent IT skills, particularly in Excel, are essential, as is the ability to produce accurate and timely information. Construction and property industry awareness or experience, along with Microsoft Business Central/Navision knowledge, would be advantageous.
