Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Financial Manager to join our team at Pathfields Medical Group. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a vital role in shaping the financial direction of our practice.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Leadership: Serve as the primary contact for finance-related matters with external stakeholders, including NHS England, ICB, and our practice accountant.
  • Cash Flow Optimization: Manage practice finances to maximize income and cost-saving opportunities through negotiation and procurement.
  • Cash Management: Implement effective systems for handling petty cash, cheques, and cash-less payments, and oversee the management of records and payments to HMRC and pension providers.
  • Financial Reporting: Produce and present detailed financial reports, including budgets and cash flow forecasts, ensuring that all accountancy software is up-to-date.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including banks, commissioners, and partnership accountants.
  • Payroll Compliance: Manage trustees' payroll and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of accounting experience (preferably in a healthcare setting)
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with strong communication and relationship-building skills
Compensation Package

Estimated salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including a comprehensive pension scheme, life insurance, and annual leave entitlement.
