Job Opportunity


We have an exciting opportunity for a Planner (Project Controls Engineer Grade) to join our busy and expanding Defence team, who are undertaking a range of Controls & Performance duties on several high-profile Infrastructure Projects/Programmes. Additionally, this role will provide the opportunity to innovate, collaborate, and learn from our experienced and award-winning Planning & Scheduling community and wider extensive Controls and Performance Network.


Key Responsibilities



  2. Create and maintain project schedules that support and align with project requirements.
  3. Develop the project schedules in conjunction with the project manager and project team.
  4. Collaborate with project team to define scope of work to develop and update detailed schedules, cost information, and identification of variances from original plan.
  5. Evaluate project schedule progress and performance and identify developing problem areas.
  6. Assist project managers to maintain timely and effective change management processes and procedures.

Qualifications



  2. Typically, degree qualified in a relevant discipline or relatable experience in a project control environment.
  3. Experience of working in project or programme management environment, with responsibility for delivery or controls of individual projects, programmes, or portfolios.
  4. Experience using controls/general software applications such as Primavera (P6), Power BI, Microsoft Office Applications is essential.
  5. Demonstrated understanding of Project Controls concepts.
  6. Knowledge and Proficiency with multiple discipline-specific software applications such as Primavera (P6) and/or other planning and resourcing software.
  7. Owing to the sensitive nature of the works involved in these specialist defence projects, candidates will be required to hold, or be able to hold, valid security clearance (SC) and in order to do so will need to be:
  8. British Nationals
  9. Hold a UK Passport
