At Sonos, we're pushing the boundaries of audio innovation, and we're looking for a talented Senior Audio Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll play a critical role in designing and developing advanced acoustic systems that deliver exceptional sound quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement acoustic system designs that meet our high standards for sound quality and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and ensure seamless integration with other product components.
  • Analyze product data and test samples to optimize design for peak performance.
  • Contribute to the strategic development of our technology roadmap, driving innovation and staying ahead of the curve.
  • Mentor junior engineers, sharing your expertise and fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in acoustics or a related field.
  • Proficient in building tools for system simulation and data analysis using Matlab.
  • Experience performing and interpreting audio measurements in both electronic and acoustic domains.
  • Solid understanding of digital signal processing fundamentals.
  • Skilled in manipulating physical prototypes to achieve precise acoustic results.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience articulating technical concepts to cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record of supporting product development from initial exploration to mass production.
  • Ability to travel overseas as needed to meet project and business requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Software programming experience.
  • Knowledge of Python.
  • Familiarity with simulation software such as COMSOL.
  • Experience with supporting high volume production in consumer electronics.
