About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Chislehurst Neurological Rehabilitation Centre. As a specialist in this field, you will be responsible for providing assessment and management of communication and swallowing disorders, devising evidence-led therapy programmes, and participating in service delivery audit and quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and manage communication and swallowing disorders in adults with acquired neurological impairments
  • Develop and implement individualised therapy programmes to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive goal setting and therapy coordination
  • Participate in service delivery audit and quality improvement initiatives to maintain high standards of clinical care

Person Specification

  • HCPC registration
  • Specialist level dysphagia competency on RCSLT framework
  • Experience in this specialist clinical area, including evidence of post-graduate training in working with people with acquired neurological impairments
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and creativity
