Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage communication and swallowing disorders in individuals with acquired neurological impairments.
  • Develop and implement evidence-led therapy programs at a specialist level, with a focus on multidisciplinary working to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in service delivery audits and quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of clinical care.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure cohesive goal setting and therapy coordination.

Requirements
  • HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
  • Specialist level dysphagia competency on the RCSLT framework.
  • Experience in this specialist clinical area, including evidence of post-graduate training in working with individuals with acquired neurological impairments.
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate initiative and creativity.
