About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning Assistant to join our team at Benchmark Capital.

This is a full-time permanent position that requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as experience in paraplanning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Champion customer-centric principles and maintain accurate electronic client files for financial planning purposes.
  • Collaborate with financial advisers to understand client objectives and work requirements.
  • Conduct research, analysis, and data gathering on investments, pensions, and other products, liaising with providers as needed.
  • Draft suitability reports using financial planning software tools and source quotes for client files.
  • Provide ad hoc support to financial advisers and paraplanners, including non-advice reports and annual review reports.
  • Maintain accurate records of case progress, costs, and audit trails using in-house systems.
Requirements
  • Previous paraplanning experience is essential.
  • A Level 4 Diploma in Paraplanning (CII) or nearing completion is required.
  • Strong understanding of retail investment, savings, pension, and protection products.
  • Excellent knowledge of suitability report content, format, and requirements.
  • Significant experience in composing suitability letters.
  • Ability to communicate confidently and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Highly developed analytical, observational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
