The Role
This role is responsible for key aspects of product offerings within the Insurance Operating Unit, including developing value propositions and positioning.
As a Strategic Product Development Manager, you will work closely with product development teams and educate the sales force about product offerings.
- Develop value propositions and market positioning for Insurance product offerings.
- Work closely with product development teams to develop new products and services.
- Develop business plans for new product strategy, including tracking current and emerging market trends.
- Communicate solutions strategies and financial impact to senior management and key internal stakeholders.
- Source and analyze market feedback on products and services.
- Develop estimates of total available market sizes as part of the development of the business case.
- Educate sales force about products at team meetings and product roadshows.
- Take an active role in consulting on potential corporate acquisitions, joint ventures and partnerships.
- Monitor the execution of solutions strategies in coordination with various internal departments.
Qualifications
We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with:
- Undergraduate/first-level degree in a business-related discipline or marketing, graduate/second-level degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, strategic planning or product development.
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
- Strong quantitative and analytic skills, including intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
