The Role / Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for key aspects of product offerings, within the Insurance Operating Unit, including developing value propositions and positioning. Additionally, the role will involve working closely with product development teams and educating the sales force about product offerings.

  • Work closely with product development teams consisting of product management and advisory resources from specification and development of the new product to roll out and maintenance.
  • Develop ideas and business plans for new product strategy, including tracking current and emerging trends to identify potential new product opportunities or modifications to existing products.
  • Communicate solutions strategies and financial impact to senior management and key internal stakeholders to obtain buy-in.
  • Develop estimates of total available market sizes as part of the development of the business case to support go/no-go decisions.
  • Educate sales force about products at team meetings, global offsites and product roadshows.
  • Take an active role in consulting on potential corporate acquisitions, joint ventures and partnerships.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate/first-level degree (e.g., Bachelor's degree) in a business-related discipline or marketing, graduate/second-level degree (e.g., MBA, Master's) preferred.
  • Experience in marketing, strategic planning or product development also favorably considered.
  • Strong quantitative and analytic skills (including intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access and relational database queries).
