Mergers and Acquisitions Originator - Corporate Finance

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and commercially minded individual to join our M&A origination team at Connect Corporate Finance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and assessing potential target investment companies, mapping and researching markets relevant to clients' acquisition criteria, and preparing M&A prospect reports highlighting key characteristics.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Proactive identification of potential target investment companies
  • Market research and analysis
  • Target company profiling and assessment
  • Presentation preparation for management meetings
  • Research support for deal execution
  • Meeting prospective clients and business owners
  • Databases maintenance for business performance
  • Transaction involvement with client interaction
  • Research provision for transaction execution
  • Presentation preparation for management meetings

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of deal origination and business development is highly desirable
  • Evidence of academic achievement is required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential
  • Organisational skills including prioritisation, scheduling, and time management are necessary
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player is required

A graduate calibre candidate with strong commercial skills is ideal for this role. The successful candidate will be a motivated, self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
