About the Role

Cobb & Jones is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Finance Business Partner to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in supporting the creation of a new Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic analysis and insight into business performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and manage financial systems and models, including SAP and BW.
  • Manage and report project costs and benefits, providing commentary and corrective action.
  • Coordinate the quarterly reforecast and budget process, providing detailed insight into any movements and analysis on trends.
  • Manage P&L, Balance sheet, and month-end process for project-based accounts.
  • Prepare financial analysis and support on capital acquisition projects.
  • Provide analysis and support in the volume forecasting process, ensuring Workday is fully updated.
  • Undertake strategic analysis to feed into the long-term financial plan.
  • Ad-hoc research into factors affecting performance, including trend analysis, forecasting, and review.
  • Supervise and develop direct reports.
Requirements
  • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
  • Recent experience in a strategic Finance Business Partner, Finance Manager, or Management Accountant role.
  • Team management experience.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships and rapport in the business.
  • Knowledge and confidence to understand trends and results.
  • Strong Excel skills, including experience in financial analysis and modelling.
  • Strong communication and partnering skills across all levels up to Exec level.
