About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Chef to join our team at PGL, a leading provider of outdoor education and activity centres. As a Chef with PGL, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook high-quality meals for our guests and staff
  • Manage food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure exceptional standards
  • Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and catering team to achieve our culinary goals
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes to enhance our dining experience
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations

  • A competitive hourly rate of up to £14.26
  • A part-year permanent contract with guaranteed days off and a Friday or Saturday evening off each week
  • An optional accommodation and meal package at a generous rate, including all bills and utilities covered and three nutritional meals every day

Requirements
  • Experience in a high-volume catering environment
  • Excellent knowledge of food hygiene and handling dietary requirements
  • Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety in Catering is a bonus, but not essential
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and adapt to changing circumstances
