**Job Title:** Continuous Improvement Lead
About the Role:
BSI Companies seeks a highly skilled Continuous Improvement Lead to join our Product Certification Division. This role is based at our Hemel Hempstead location, with opportunities to work with our Loughborough site. As a key member of our team, you will drive operational excellence and improve the efficiency of our testing processes through continuous process improvements and efficiency gains.
Main Responsibilities:
- Analyse existing testing processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Apply efficiency gains using methodologies like 5S and Six Sigma to optimize operations and reduce waste.
- Develop and execute strategies for continuous process improvements, ensuring alignment with BSI's global strategic objectives.
- Lead and manage projects with autonomy, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Develop comprehensive process maps detailing assets and equipment versus the standards they serve.
- Create and validate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and related data to track and measure process performance.
- Utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead Lean/Six Sigma projects to drive testing process improvements and quality enhancements.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by training and mentoring team members on CI & quality improvement methodologies.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation on testing process improvements, efficiency gains, and project outcomes.
Requirements:
- Professional certifications in Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) and Lean Manufacturing.
- Detailed knowledge of engineering principles, particularly process engineering and operational improvements.
- Proven experience in process engineering roles within testing businesses, manufacturing, or production environments.
- Expertise in process mapping, data analysis tools, and project management software.
- Strong background in data analysis techniques and tools for process optimization and KPI development.
- Exceptional project management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring of multiple projects.
- Advanced analytical skills to identify problems, analyze data, and develop effective solutions.
