Job Title: Advancement Services Lead

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Advancement Services Lead. This role will be responsible for ensuring the supply of instrumentation to our theatres, clinics, wards, and departments, as well as maintaining strong communication and liaison with customers to facilitate a Quality Service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with Trust policies, procedures, and guidelines for self and others.
  • Organize and prioritize the throughput of instrumentation, ensuring adequate cover and staff skill mix is maintained throughout the department.
  • Coordinate the process of instrument trays and supplementary packs in a timely manner for each Theatre/Clinic session.
  • Work with SSD Supervisors to ensure the completion of MCHT equipment and ensure orders are ready in time for collection.
  • Assist the management team with ongoing training of staff and ensuring their quality awareness.
  • Attend staff and management team meetings to discuss processes and ensure staff are kept up to date with changes.
  • Ensure adequate stocks of equipment throughout operational hours, maintaining essential levels of instruments sets.
  • Use the Fingerprint System to track and trace instrumentation sets through the decontamination process.
  • Be responsible for ensuring an accurate record of instruments for repair and follow up on these items.
  • Assist the management team in maintaining Health & Safety in the workplace, Risk assessments, COSHH, and monitoring of safe systems of work.
  • Promote people's equality, diversity, and rights.
  • Assist the management team in monitoring all workflows and processes within the department.
  • Maintain strong communication with theatre users/coordinators to ensure correct prioritization necessary to facilitate theatres and clinic sessions.
  • Use inter-personal skills to maintain good customer relations with the Trust's wards and departments and outside customers.
  • Take responsibility for own learning and development by recognizing and taking advantage of all opportunities to learn.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and ISO 13485:2016.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
