About the Role

  • This position requires a minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory role within a care or supported living setting, preferably with children and young people.
  • The ideal candidate will possess a Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) and have strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • A Level 5 qualification in Leadership for Children and Young People's Services is desirable or willingness to work towards it.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead, manage, and support a team of care staff to deliver high-quality, person-centered care.
  2. Ensure the service operates in compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
  3. Develop and maintain individualized care plans for the children and young people in your care.
  4. Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes the well-being and development of each child.
  5. Manage staffing rotas, oversee training, and provide regular supervision to the team.
  6. Build strong relationships with families, schools, and other professionals to support the needs of the children.
  7. Respond promptly and effectively to safeguarding concerns, ensuring the safety and welfare of all children.
