About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Attendance Manager to join our team. As an integral part of our Education Inclusion Team, you will play a crucial role in coordinating effective targeting support meetings to improve school attendance.

You will work closely with schools and other partners to identify children and young people at risk of poor attendance and develop targeted actions to support them. Your expertise in education legislation and statutory guidance will be invaluable in promoting good attendance practices among frontline staff and associated services.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader who can demonstrate experience in professional leadership within multi-agency services. You will be responsible for providing advice, guidance, and briefings on good attendance practices, and collaborating with colleagues to promote the importance of attendance across the borough.

What We're Looking For
  • A social work qualification or related professional qualification
  • Experience of professional leadership within multi-agency services
  • Strong working knowledge of education legislation and statutory guidance
  • Demonstrated ability to participate in effective operational partnerships with schools

Additional Information
  • This is a full-time position, 36 hours per week
  • Fixed-term contract until September 30th, 2025, with potential for extension dependent on future funding opportunities

  • This post requires a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at Enhanced level
  • The salary for this position is £52,674 - £59,772 per annum
