Freight Business Development Manager Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Freight Business Development Manager to join our team at Freight Personnel. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities within the freight forwarding sector.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing an annual business plan to achieve sales targets and budget requirements
  • Creating and executing strategies to increase profitable turnover through diversification of services
  • Implementing processes for prospect management and customer follow-up to maximize sales penetration, profitability, and customer loyalty
  • Meeting new business targets, including a minimum of 3 times salary and 8 appointments per week
  • Ensuring seamless customer transitions, including completion of new customer reports outlining key requirements and services

To succeed in this role, you will have experience selling multi-modal freight forwarding services, be self-motivated and sales-driven, and possess excellent market knowledge in freight forwarding. You will also have strong negotiation and closing skills.

As a Freight Business Development Manager at Freight Personnel, you will enjoy a competitive salary of £50,000 to £60,000, car allowance, commission, and a range of benefits, including pension, life assurance, employee assistance programme, occupational healthcare, and cycle to work scheme. You will also receive 25 days holiday allowance, increasing to 30 days after 5 years' service.
