Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and patient SEN Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs in a diverse and vibrant community. The ideal candidate will have prior school-based experience working with neurodiverse or SEN students and a strong understanding of strategies to support children with Autism, ADHD, or other additional needs.

Main Responsibilities

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the school's SENCo to implement education healthcare plans (EHCPs) and support students' social and emotional development, creating a safe and positive learning environment. You will provide 1:1 or small group support to students with SEN, helping them access the curriculum in a way that suits their needs.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs
  • A strong understanding of strategies to support children with Autism, ADHD, or other additional needs
  • Proven ability to engage students in their learning and manage behaviour effectively
