HSE Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior HSE Professional to join our team at ATTB - The Big Jobsite. This role offers a competitive salary of £45,000-£50,000 and is based in West Cumbria / Lake District.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing our health, safety, and environmental strategy. Key responsibilities include:
  1. Developing and maintaining all health, safety, and environmental processes & procedures.
  2. Cooking supervisors and managers on best practice across HSE.
  3. Management of the EHS and ISO14001 environmental strategy.
  4. Ensuring site compliance with all aspects of HSE - ISO14001 & ISO45001 Standard.
  5. Managing site procedures & standards for risk assessments, SSOW, control & monitoring hazards, substances, work equipment, PPE, manual handling.
  6. Conducting health & safety inductions with contractors and new members of staff.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have experience in a similar HSE Manager position. A NEBOSH General Certificate and IOSH are also essential. You should be knowledgeable about keeping up-to-date with HSE standards and ensuring site compliance. Additionally, you should be flexible outside of working hours to discuss any questions or issues employees might have. Experience of working with Environmental Management Systems and comfortable coaching and influencing staff and managers on the importance of H&S are also beneficial.
