About the Role

Crooton is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Prisoner Custody Officer to join our team in Glasgow, Bellshill, and surrounding areas. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and secure transportation of prisoners to and from courts, police stations, and prisons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Escort and supervise prisoners during transportation, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential security threats and take necessary precautions to mitigate them.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to prisoner movements and activities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to prisoners, their families, and other stakeholders, demonstrating empathy and understanding in all interactions.
Requirements
  • Basic level of physical fitness and flexibility to perform duties safely and effectively.
  • Full UK driving license with Cat C1 or Cat D license preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and discretion, with a strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
