Job Title: Health Improvement Assistant Practitioner - Prison Health Care

NHS Scotland is seeking a skilled Health Improvement Assistant Practitioner to join our Prison Health Care team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering and developing health-related training programs for individuals in prison.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver health-related training sessions to individuals in prison, either one-on-one or in groups.
  • Support the promotion of various health improvement programs, including Quit Your Way cessation services and Mouth Matters Oral Health Improvement service.
  • Collaborate with other team members to deliver harm reduction messages and establish partnerships with key organizations.

Requirements:

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work autonomously.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Office Packages.
  • Good command of verbal and written English.

Working Hours: 37 hours per week, with a shift pattern between Monday - Friday 8.00am - 4.00pm. The post holder may be required to work outside of these times to meet the needs of the service.
