Job Title: Health Improvement Assistant Practitioner - Prison Health Care Specialist

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a skilled Health Improvement Assistant Practitioner to join their Prison Health Care Health Improvement Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and developing a range of health-related trainings to individuals in prison, as well as supporting the promotion of various health improvement programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver health-related trainings to individuals in prison through structured sessions.
  • Support the promotion of health improvement programs, including Quit Your Way cessation services and Mouth Matters Oral Health Improvement service.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with key organizations to influence and deliver health improvement work streams.
Requirements:
  • Good organizational skills and ability to work autonomously.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Office Packages.
  • Good command of verbal and written English.

The post is 37 hours per week, with a shift pattern between Monday - Friday 8.00am - 4.00pm. The post holder may be required to work outside of these times to meet the exigencies of the service. This post is fixed term for 6 months initially.
