Yard Site Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Yard Site Manager to join our team at Room at the Top Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our yard, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate the allocation of jobs to drivers, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed and accurate.
  • Maintain a clean and organized yard, adhering to health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing suppliers, identifying new opportunities for growth and expansion.
  • Monitor and minimize overtime, ensuring all workers are utilized efficiently.
  • Ensure all delivery and collection paperwork is completed and uploaded to Teams in a timely manner.
Benefits:
  • Permanent workers are eligible for 21 days holiday plus bank holidays, with 4 days to be taken at Christmas.
  • A yearly bonus will be awarded, starting from January 2024.
  • Pension contributions will be made.

This is a temporary to permanent position, offering a competitive salary of £35,000-£38,000 depending on experience. The working hours are 7am - 5pm, Monday - Friday, with a 1-hour lunch break.
