We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate and Grants Officer to join our team at Home-Start Newark. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will be responsible for securing income for our charity from a variety of funders, including trusts, foundations, corporate organizations, and government grants.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and develop corporate and grant funding opportunities, and develop and write high-quality applications and proposals that meet the requirements of funders.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to develop applications for funding and compile high-quality content that is realistic, deliverable, and appropriately budgeted.
- Identify and obtain any support and advice required for the preparation, planning, and management of funding applications.
- Network with potential corporate partners through warm contacts, events, conferences, and other available media.
- Maintain accurate monitoring and recording of data to evidence performance.
- Undertake administrative tasks that support the efficient and compliant management of grants, including updating our database.
- Produce reports for internal and external stakeholders, including our management team and external funders.
- Assist with the planning and delivery of marketing and communication activity that promotes funding opportunities and highlights the success of any funding secured.
- Participate in personal development opportunities, including mandatory training, and identify further training or development needs.
- Proven success in writing compelling, high-quality funding applications and securing income from a range of funders.
- Experience of developing applications to major funders and local authorities, as well as smaller grants, trusts, and community funding opportunities.
- Proven success in building and maintaining effective relationships with corporate partners to deliver new funding streams.
- Ability to present complex project information in a clear and engaging way.
- Knowledge of and ability to use IT systems, including Outlook, Microsoft Office, and SharePoint.
- Self-motivation, excellent time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to work to deadlines.
- Flexibility and access to transport to travel to Newark, Nottinghamshire as and when needed.
