Job Title: Financial Modelling Assistant Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Financial Modelling Assistant Manager to join our Deals & Business Consulting team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and developing financial models and other tools for clients to use for forecasting and business planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and develop financial models and other tools for clients to use for forecasting and business planning
  • Use and adapt models to perform sensitivity and scenario analysis for deals and restructuring
  • Review the modelling work of junior team members, ensuring technical excellence and brand compliance
  • Understand the results of models and engage with clients and colleagues in meaningful dialogue about the implications
  • Review financial models built by clients and their advisers and compiling initial views and findings
  • Play an active role in model design discussions and preparing model specification documents
  • Prepare engagement letters for review by more senior team members
  • Attend meetings with clients, build rapport and develop lasting relationships based on trust and quality work
  • Contribute to reports being prepared by other Advisory teams

Requirements:

  • Experience in a directly comparable Big 4 or similar modelling team
  • Currently holding a manager or equivalent grade
  • Excellent Excel proficiency and familiarity with advanced techniques
  • Strong understanding of modelling best practice ideas
  • Highly numerate with strong communication skills
  • Strong accounting skills and understanding of cash and working capital cycles
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably in a numerate degree
  • ACA or CA qualified or equivalent
