Examination Support Assistant

Main ResponsibilitiesYou will support the Exams Officer with the day-to-day operation of examination venues and other examination processes, including:
- Setting up examination venues with stationery, equipment, and examination papers
- Assisting candidates before and during examinations
- Ensuring candidates do not talk during examinations
- Invigilating during examinations and dealing with queries and irregularities
- Recording attendance and late arrivals
- Escorting candidates from venues and supervising them outside
- Collecting and collating scripts at the end of examinations
- Assisting with script envelope preparation
- Supervising candidates leaving venues and ensuring they do not remove equipment or stationery without authorization
- Assisting with examination paper packing and delivery
- Preparing seating plans
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Access to an email account for communication with the Exams Officer
- A positive attitude towards young people and their education
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Confident communication skills
- A firm but fair approach
- Physical fitness for tasks such as lifting examination papers and walking between venues
