Main Areas of Responsibility

You will support the Exams Officer with the day-to-day operation of examination venues and other examination processes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting up examination venues with stationery, equipment, and examination papers
  • Assisting candidates before and during examinations
  • Ensuring candidates do not talk during examinations
  • Invigilating during examinations and dealing with queries
  • Recording attendance and late arrivals
  • Escorting candidates from venues and supervising outside
  • Collecting and collating scripts at the end of examinations
  • Assisting with script envelope preparation
  • Supervising candidates leaving venues and ensuring they do not remove equipment without authorisation
  • Assisting with examination paper, stationery, and equipment delivery
  • Preparing seating plans
Qualifications & Experience

For this role, you will need:

  • Access to an email account for invigilation schedule arrangements
  • A positive interest in young people and education
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Confident communication skills
  • A firm but fair attitude
  • Physical fitness for tasks required
