Senior Childcare Professional Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Childcare Professional to join our team in Tonyrefail. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and young people, while advancing your career in a supportive environment.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in childcare and a proven track record of leading and mentoring teams. You will support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the children's home, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Registered Manager in the management of the children's home.
  • Lead and mentor the staff team, promoting a positive and nurturing environment.
  • Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of each child.
  • Act as a role model for staff, promoting best practices in childcare and safeguarding.
  • Liaise with external agencies and professionals to promote the welfare and development of the children.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People's Workforce (CYP) or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a children's home as a Senior or Deputy Manager.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of safeguarding and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including sleep-ins.
