Medsolve is proud to partner with an exceptional organisation seeking dedicated Care Assistants to join their team on a permanent basis. The role involves working to a rota of scheduled visits for customers in their own homes covering the Stockport area.

This is a full-time role offering a salary of £12.10-£12.60 per hour. Shifts are Monday to Sunday and will require a minimum of alternate weekends. The service operates from 7 am till 11 pm.

The role of the Care Assistant is to meet customers' needs and ensure they are supported as detailed in their care plan, maintaining their privacy, dignity, and independence at all times. This includes assisting with personal care needs, social welfare, and light housekeeping duties. Care packages vary from providing companionship care to palliative end-of-life care, with pay rates accordingly.

Main Job responsibilities of the Care Assistant include:

Proactively attending to customers

Assisting with personal care, including skin care, bathing, shaving, oral care, toileting, dressing, hair care

Enabling mobility, including moving and handling, transfers, pushing wheelchairs, checking specialist equipment, driving customers' vehicles as directed

Dietetics, including assistance with menu planning, preparing, serving, and storing food

Assisting customers with activities of daily living, such as working, leisure, and education

Assisting with medications as prescribed by the medical team

Dealing with correspondence and financial matters as requested

Day-to-day household tasks, such as changing beds, laundry, ironing, shopping

We are seeking a Care Assistant with the following skills and attributes:

Must have a full, clean driving licence and use of their own car

Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential, as training will be given, so a willingness to learn is essential

Strong communication

Patience, empathy, and a caring nature
