About the Role:

Aramark UK is seeking an experienced Education and Training Specialist to join their team at HMP Birmingham. This permanent, full-time opportunity will see you working closely with General Managers on site to oversee and manage all food and food safety training within the prison.

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of food having worked in a kitchen and food safety, with Level 3 food safety qualifications. Experience in training and developing individuals, as well as strong communication skills with patience and resilience, are also essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Food Safety training to prisoners working within catering areas
  • Ensure all prisoners working for Aramark have been inducted into their work area
  • Train staff on the induction process
  • Keep all induction and the training matrix up to date
  • Complete practical demonstrations
  • Coach and mentor candidates
  • Instruct prisoners in Health and Hygiene
  • Train prisoners and staff in the use of all kitchen equipment
  • Assist where necessary in food preparation.
  • Complete Monthly safety checks for all areas
  • Identify any further training needs for all staff and action as appropriate.
  • Coordinate training and all relevant training administration
  • Identify learners for NVQ and enrol
  • Complete registration tracker
  • Meet monthly KPIs and provide monthly training stats
