Service Controller Role

We are seeking a skilled Service Controller to join our busy service and maintenance desk at Dawsongroup Environmental Municipal Civil. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality customer service, ensuring the maintenance of our hire fleet equipment, and controlling workshop, mobile, and third-party engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to breakdown and maintenance queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure all hire fleet equipment is maintained to the manufacturer's recommendations, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
  • Coordinate the repair and service of our fleet, drafting communications for postal and email purposes.
  • Obtain updates, escalate issues, challenge costs, and potential delays, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Authorize and control expenditure, processing and approving invoices in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Confident communicator with excellent telephone manner and strong administrative skills.
  • Proficient in PC literacy, with the ability to adapt to a wide variety of tasks.
  • Empathetic and able to understand customer needs and requirements in challenging situations.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
