Nurse Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Registered Nurse to join our Physical Health Team in Essex. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of physical health assessments to individuals with severe mental illness.
Main Responsibilities
As a Nurse Specialist, you will work closely with the wider Physical Health Team to provide high-quality clinical support to junior colleagues and act as a clinical expert. You will contribute to the assessment of both physical and mental health needs, with a focus on improving the physical health of individuals with severe mental illness.
Key Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have current registration with the NMC and at least 3 years' experience post-registration at Band 5. You will also require experience and skills in managing stressful situations, as well as a detailed awareness of relevant evidence base relating to physical health in SMI populations.
