Oncology Patient Coordinator

Job Summary
The North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join their team as a Patient Tracker. This role will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth running of the patient pathway across their two sites, and will directly enhance the patient experience.
Main Responsibilities
The post holder will be responsible for the proactive management of patients receiving Systematic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) treatment in the Haematology/Oncology Units. This will involve monitoring, reporting, and tracking patients to ensure their journey is progressed in a timely and efficient manner, in line with National Cancer Waiting Times Targets and in the best interests of the patient.

Key Skills and Qualities
To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and be able to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines. You will also need to be self-motivated, well-organized, and able to take responsibility for your own work. Additionally, you will need to be a team player, able to work well with others and demonstrate commitment to team objectives.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have recent relevant NHS experience, including experience of establishing and maintaining office systems, and experience of working with staff at all levels. You will also need to have knowledge of medical terminology, Cancer Waiting Times, and RTT pathways. A commitment to personal and professional development is also essential.
