Nuclear Skills Department Lead

About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our Nuclear Skills department, ensuring our workforce is equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the nuclear sector.
Key Responsibilities
* Take responsibility for the operational management and compliance of the Sellafield Apprenticeship contract for all Level 2 and Level 3 Apprenticeship Programmes at Energus and Sellafield, including the provision of Additionalities and Short Courses, as outlined in the contract.
* Work across all key business functions to ensure effective management and delivery against contractual KPIs for the provision.
* Have recent and extensive experience in teaching, instructing, and training in the nuclear industry.
* Have experience in post-16 education/training, including curriculum design, delivery, assessment, and evaluation, and Higher Education accreditation and approval processes for nuclear courses.
* Hold or be willing to work towards a Level 4 or above management qualification within a specified period.
* Hold a Level 3 equivalent vocational professional qualification.
* Possess a minimum of Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy qualifications and be willing to update skills.
* Hold a recognised teaching qualification (CertEd, PGCE, or B Ed).

* Qualification Title Grade Level 3 or equivalent vocational professional qualification - Essential.
* Minimum Level 2 literacy & numeracy qualifications & be willing to update skills - Essential.
* Formal Teaching Qualification (Cert Ed/ PGCE / BA Ed) - Essential.
* Hold or willing to work towards a management qualification at level 4 or above - Essential.
* Accredited higher level management qualification e.g., li>Recent and extensive experience in teaching, instructing, and training in the nuclear industry - Essential.
* Recent relevant nuclear industry teaching experience with good or outstanding observation grades - Essential.
* Experience in post-16 education/training including curriculum design, delivery, assessment, and evaluation - Essential.
* Specific recent experience of Higher Education in a nuclear context, including Foundation Degrees and Higher Apprenticeships, including design of programmes of learning - Essential.
* Experience of setting up and running teaching and training teams delivering training for the nuclear industry - Essential.
* Wide experience of occupational needs in nuclear and supply chains - Essential.
* Management of staff & projects - Desirable.
* Experience of successful course management;
