Therapeutic Radiographer

University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled and compassionate Band 6 Nurse or Midwife to join our Pregnancy Advisory Service (PAS) team at the Central Health Clinic.
About the RoleAs a key member of our PAS team, you will provide a full range of nursing skills, including patient consultations, ultrasound scanning, informal counselling, sexual health screening, and contraception advice. You will work closely with our Consultant team to deliver high-quality care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive sexual and reproductive health services, including use of Fraser Guidelines.
- Administer and/or issue prescribed medication as appropriate, following NMC professional guidelines.
- Use professional judgement to seek advice or refer to medical colleagues.
- Adhere to NMC, Trust, and Directorate policies and procedures.
- Perform testing, obtain swabs and specimens as appropriate, and provide advice and information to patients.
- Provide health promotion relevant to patient needs.
- Promote sexual health and advise on the transmission of sexually transmitted infections and ways of reducing those risks.
- Undertake pregnancy tests and refer to and liaise with other professionals as appropriate.
- Perform ultrasound scanning to confirm pregnancy and gestation.
