University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse or Midwife to join our Pregnancy Advisory Service team. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality care to patients, promoting sexual health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide a full range of nursing skills, including patient consultations, ultrasound scanning, and informal counselling.
- Administer and issue prescribed medication as appropriate, following NMC professional guidelines.
- Use professional judgement to seek advice or refer to medical colleagues when necessary.
- Adhere to NMC, Trust, and Directorate policies and procedures.
- Perform testing, obtain swabs and specimens as required, and provide advice and information to patients.
- Promote sexual health and advise patients on reducing the risks of sexually transmitted infections.
- Undertake pregnancy tests and refer to and liaise with other professionals as necessary.
- Perform ultrasound scanning to confirm pregnancy and gestation.
