A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced International Removals Porter/Driver to join our client, a specialist Fine Art Shipping company based in Middlesex.

As the International Removals Porter/Driver, you will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient transportation of valuable artworks and antiques internationally.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Drive company vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations, while maintaining the integrity and security of the transported items.
  • Regularly inspect and maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools, reporting any issues or malfunctions promptly to the appropriate personnel.
  • Ensure all necessary paperwork and documentation is complete, including delivery notes, item inventories, and customs documentation.
  • Provide regular updates to clients, addressing concerns, and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and relevant regulations related to fine art shipping and removals.

The successful candidate will have strong experience within the Fine Art Shipping or Removals industry, along with a clean driving license and excellent communication skills.

We are keen to speak with candidates who have experience working within the Fine Art Shipping or Removals industry, or those with export packing experience. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

Requirements:
  • Knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and documentation is advantageous.
  • Excellent physical fitness and stamina, as the role involves heavy lifting and physical exertion.
  • Familiarity with specialized equipment and techniques used in fine art handling and packing is a plus.
  • Ability to handle delicate and valuable items with extreme care and attention to detail.
