Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced International Removals Porter/Driver to join our team at Red Recruit. As a specialist in fine art shipping and removals, you will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient transportation of valuable artworks and antiques internationally.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Transportation and Handling: Safely and efficiently drive company vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations, while maintaining the integrity and security of the transported items.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools, reporting any issues or malfunctions promptly to the appropriate personnel.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Ensure all necessary paperwork and documentation is complete – i.e., delivery notes, item inventories, customs documentation.
  • Customer Service: Provide regular updates to clients, addressing concerns, and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Industry Knowledge: Keep up to date with industry trends, best practices, and relevant regulations related to fine art shipping and removals.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Strong experience within the Fine Art Shipping or Removals industry, along with a clean driving license and excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and documentation is advantageous. Excellent physical fitness and stamina, as the role involves heavy lifting and physical exertion. Familiarity with specialized equipment and techniques used in fine art handling and packing is a plus. Ability to handle delicate and valuable items with extreme care and attention to detail.
